A New Little Girl

I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many new little ones recently, and I was thrilled to meet E and her parents this week! She is such a cutie pie– I couldn’t get enough of all that downy, soft hair she has. E is blessed to have to parents who adore her, and I hope that these pictures bring back sweet memories of these fleeting newborn moments.
Daddy certainly had the magic touch with his baby girl~

It’s a great thing to have old friends– the kind of friends that you can pick right back up with after a long time apart, as if it’s been days that have separated you instead of months and years.
On Friday, I spent a long afternoon and evening with four such friends. We watched BBC’s Pride and Prejudice (all five hours of it!), ate lots of food, and enjoyed the comfortable camaraderie that we’ve had since grade school. It’s just hard to top that…well, unless two of those said friends are glowing with pregnancy and I have my camera!
To celebrate we took some time at our girls’ reunion to take pictures of those beautiful bellies!
This is Laura’s second baby girl.
Becky is anticipating the arrival of her firstborn! I’m sure I have a old picture of these two together from middle school camp back in the day…it would have been fun to share it but I wasn’t up for tackling the box of photos from 1997 in my attic! We’ll have to settle for this pose of them together as mommies! (girls, you can thank me later)

Baby Love

I just love watching a new mother or father with baby. It doesn’t get much sweeter than that!
I am so glad these new parents invited me into their beautiful home to document some sweet moments with their new little man.
P wanted to know what in the world was that big black thing I kept sticking in is face! His most contented moments were the ones in his parents’ arms…so sweet:

I don’t appear on this blog very often, so I thought I’d post a self-portrait from the weekend.
