A Happy Change of Pace

August 26, 2010

I’m not a wedding photographer, but every once in a while a wedding comes along that I just can’t pass up.  A couple weeks ago one such happy event took place in Pittsburgh, and I was honored to be the one behind the camera.  The bride is a good friend of Steve’s and mine from college, and I was able to play the roles of both photographer and guest (which means I helped myself to the amazing dessert table, rather than trying to sneak a bite while no one was looking!)  I want to thank the bride and groom and their families for entrusting their memories to me, for making me feel like a part of the family (as always), and for being so in love that my job was effortless!  I also need to thank my sis for being my assistant for the day.

And now for a little peek into the wedding day…

Holiday Mini Sessions are Here!

August 19, 2010

We are happy to announce the return of last year’s popular holiday mini-sessions!

These limited-availability sessions will be held on two different Saturdays this October– the 9th and the 16th (rain dates on the 15th and 30th).  Sessions on each date will take place at a location Heather selects, and you come to her.  Both locations will be in the Annapolis area.

So what is a mini-session and for whom are they ideal?

Your mini-session fee of $125 includes 20 minutes of shooting time with Heather, 25 lovely flat press-printed holiday cards OR one digital image submitted by Heather directly to the stationer of your choice, and a $75 print credit to be spent on images from your session.  A small selection of specialty items and as well as digital files will be available just for mini-session clients.

After your mini-session, you’ll receive a minimum of 8-10 images in a private online gallery and will be able to work with Heather to create your custom cards (holiday or general notecards according to your wishes) or choose the digital image you’d like your stationer to use.

A mini-session is perfect for you if you’ve recently had a full session with Heather but would like to mark a milestone or would love new images for your holiday gift-giving.  Or perhaps you’ve been meaning to book a session with Heather but haven’t gotten around to it  Maybe you’re a friend of a Heather Grace Photography client and would love to get a small taste of  the experience.  While our mini-sessions cannot compare to a full custom session, they’re a great way to get beautiful fall images of your family and are perfect for any of situations mentioned.

Spots are expected to fill quickly!  Those who have been asked to be placed on a mini-session waiting list have been notified, as well as current clients.   To hold your spot for either the October 9th or October 16th dates, contact Heather today.  The mini-session fee of $125 is required to hold your spot.

Note:  If you prefer to book a full HGP session at your home or outdoor location of your choice, there are a few remaining 2010 dates, especially weekday mornings in the Annapolis area.  Please contact Heather for her updated 2010 rates.

What a Big Brother!

August 6, 2010

This is the third time I’ve photographed this family– you may recognize big brother B from my website or blog!  He’s such a great model in front of the camera…but even more importantly he’s a great big brother to E.  He loved to help her walk and pushed her stroller all over downtown Annapolis after our session was over.  I hope big brother and family enjoy this little taste of what’s to come in their gallery…
