Laughter | annapolis maryland family photographer

November 11, 2011

This family was so much fun to be around, and one of the reasons was because they spent the whole time laughing together. Mom had mentioned to me that she wanted her photographs to reflect her children having fun, and knowing that they are loved.  I think those two things couldn’t help but shine through; I had so much fun just snapping away while they enjoyed each other’s company.

Thank you for traveling all the way to Annapolis to spend some time with me!

Her Heart | annapolis family photographer

September 13, 2011

This past weekend I had the privilege of taking some family photographs for my friend, Charlotte.  God has her on an incredible journey right now; she is boldly sharing her heart on her blog, and I just know that she’d love for you to read it.

I don’t normally have the opportunity to do sessions with so many teenaged boys all at the same time, but I know that they were really loving on their mom by letting me snap away with my camera for so long.  I love what we got:

A Birth Day Story | annapolis maryland birth photographer

August 27, 2011

When my dear friend first showed me the priceless photographs she captured of my baby’s birthday, I knew for sure that I wanted to document a birth day for another couple.  I was so glad to have those precious photographs to remember my labor and my daughter’s entrance into the world.  You see, I have this list– a “30 Things to Do Before I’m 30″ list.  And as I sat in the labor and delivery recovery room on March 27 looking through those pictures of my delivery, I knew that #27 on my list, photograph a birth, absolutely had to be checked off.

Soon afterward, I received a message from Jen.  She and her husband were expecting their third baby only weeks after my own girl was born, and, knowing about #27 on my list, they said they’d love to have me there with my camera for their labor and delivery.  It was such an honor to be there with them, and I was so blessed to witness the love, devotion, tenderness, and joy…all through the night and well into the next morning:)

It was beautiful, one of my favorite “sessions” ever.
