For the Mothers

May 11, 2012

I’ve met many beautiful moms over the past year, and became a mom to a third precious girl myself.

Motherhood is a hard job but a wonderful privilege.  It can be exhausting and invigorating; some days full of laughter while others are full of tears; it can come as a long-awaited answer to prayer or as an unexpected blessing.  Whatever part of the mothering journey you’re on now, I want to encourage all of us moms with this reminder from Jim Elliot:  Wherever you are, be all there.  Let’s make the most of every moment!

Here’s to wiping little faces, gifts of sticky kisses, learning to let go a little, and celebrating the little everyday moments that make it all so worth it.  Happy Mothers Day to all the moms I’ve had the honor of photographing since May 2011, and to all who stop by to visit this little blog of mine.

Three

February 7, 2012

We have three daughters, the middle one is three years old.  This is such a precious age; it will be gone before I know it.

I’m glad there’s another one in line to turn three one day~

Soon to be Four

January 31, 2012

I was so excited that this family responded to my Maternity Casting call, because I had the pleasure of photographing their little girl when she was born almost two years ago.  Now that little girl a big sister, and I so loved seeing everyone again. Genuine smiles, loving cuddles, and growing families are three things that make me very happy:

I had a great time with my Mini Sessions this year, and we capped them off with a short and sweet session on a very windy and very chilly Annapolis afternoon.  The perfect weather for cuddling close together!

This family was so much fun to be around, and one of the reasons was because they spent the whole time laughing together. Mom had mentioned to me that she wanted her photographs to reflect her children having fun, and knowing that they are loved.  I think those two things couldn’t help but shine through; I had so much fun just snapping away while they enjoyed each other’s company.

Thank you for traveling all the way to Annapolis to spend some time with me!
